Psa 18:16-35; Isa 30:21

A image I purchased online a few months ago.

He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.
He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.
I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.
Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.
With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;
With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.
For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.  For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?
It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.
He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.  He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great

MY EYES ARE DRY

My eyes are dry
My faith is oldMy heart is hardMy prayers are coldAnd I know how I ought to beAlive to You and dead to me

But what can be doneFor an old heart like mineSoften it upWith oil and wineThe oil is You, Your Spirit of lovePlease wash me anewWith the wine of Your Blood

Deny Yourself, Take Up Your Cross, And Follow Me. Some Here Will See Me In My Kingdom

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me].

For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it [that is, life with Me for all eternity].

For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world [wealth, fame, success], but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?  (Mat 16:24-26JESUS)

A Call to Repentance

“So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,
The crawling locust,
The consuming locust,
And the chewing locust,
My great army which I sent among you.

You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
And praise the name of the Lord your God,
Who has dealt wondrously with you;
And My people shall never be put to shame.

Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel:
I am the Lord your God
And there is no other.
My people shall never be put to shame. - Joel 2:25-27NKJV

SOMEONE CARES... FOR YOU!♫

You are not alone. God's strong and loving hand is reaching down right now to grasp your weak and trembling gone. He knows all about your present circumstance, and His voice is whispering,

"Do not let your hearts be troubled." (Jn 14:1).

God stand ready to comfort and strengthen you no matter what the need. Yes, the promise of God's presence is a wonderful assurance to all who are His. He has said,

"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (Heb 13:5).

STRENGTH FOR YOUR EVERY NEED

In addition to God's presence, the Bible also promises,

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." (Isa 40:29).

This is why God invites us to commit our needs into His hands.

"Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you." (Psa 55:22).

Not just part of your burden or some of your care, but

"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." (Pe 5:7).

LIGHT IN YOUR DARKNESS

To countless individuals life is a dark street, a meaningless riddle. But Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, declares,

"I AM the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (Jn 8:12)

Happy indeed is the person who can say,

"The Lord is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psa 27:1)

If circumstances around you appear dark just now, remember that,

"God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all." (1 Jn 1:5)

GOD'S GIFT TO YOU

God's love is demonstrated to us in that He offers us the greatest gift possible. How wonderful that He should offer this fallen race, separated from Him by sin, the gift of eternal life. The Bible says,

"The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Ro 6:23)

The Bible also tells us that,

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because He has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." (Jn 3:16-18)

Everyone who puts his trust in Jesus Christ as Saviour at that moment begins an eternal relationship with God. ((100% repentance; turning away from old creation to one that is new))

How wonderful it is that this salvation does not depend on our own righteousness, which the Bible describe as "filthy rags" (Isa 64:6), but on Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who loved us and gave Himself for us. His death paid the penalty for our sins; His resurrection made eternal life possible.

GOD'S LOVE FOR YOU

But God's love seeks a response in your heart. Is this unreasonable? The price Christ paid to purchase you from sin's hold was high. The Bible says,

"It was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed... but with the precious blood of Christ." (1 Pet 1:18, 19)

This matchless offer is God's, but the final choice is yours.

GOD'S INVITATION TO YOU

Yes, Someone cares for you and right now is reaching down to grasp your hand. It is God Himself,

"He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all - how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?" (Rom 8:32)

If you will open your hear to His voice, which through the centuries has come to suffering humanity, you will hear the Lord calling,

"Come to Me, all you who are weary, and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Mat 11:28)

Won't you come and find rest in Him?

"The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." (Deu 33:27)

I BUILT MY HOUSE UPON A STONE♫

I Built My House Upon A Stone from the album, A Table Full Of Strangers, Vol. 1 by Jason Upton.

❝Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

❝But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.❞

And so it was, when Jesus had ended these sayings, that the people were astonished at His teaching,
-Mat 7:24-26NKJV
